Health safety and welfare
Here at Sterling we regard health, safety and welfare as a
major contributing factor of the key to our success.
The workforce
We hold a strict policy for all our workforce to hold a minimum of a
CSCS or CPCS card. This is a companywide policy from tea boy to directors.
Training
We like to promote a positive attitude towards training and try to
minimise ‘power point’ learning. Training our teams wherever possible
outside, on-site with our mobile trainers as we have found this the most positive.
This is after all where our key activities happen.
Our Sites
All sites have a trained first aider, appointed supervisor and come
with a job pack detailing the key activities written and overseen by a
fully qualified manager.
Plant and machinery
Plant, machinery and tools are all checked before use, by the trained and
competent operator. All plant undergoes a rigorous annual inspection like an MOT.
